Selection of Candidates for FossStudio Internship Year 2022
At the beginning of 2022, FossStudio opened internship opportunities for final year students of the Library Science program who were interested in the SysAdmin field. As a result of this internship, it is hoped that the interns will be able to understand the scope of work as a system librarian, as well as gain insight and prepare themselves to face the world of library work after graduating from college.
Since the opening of registration in January 2022, there were 10 applicants who registered to take part in this internship program. The majority of participants who registered were active Library Science students from various campuses in Indonesia.
In February, to be precise on Sunday / February 6, 2022, FossStudio selected the acceptance of prospective interns by conducting online interviews with each applicant. The interview was conducted by the FossStudio team, namely:
Dwi Fajar Saputra (Product Manager and System Analyst),
Yusac Firmansyah (Programming), and
Iman Jauhari (Web and Documentation).
This interview session was conducted to see the extent of interest and ability of prospective participants in understanding the scope of SysAdmin and Libraries in general. Of the 10 prospective applicants, there were 7 candidates who followed the invitation to attend the interview session. From these 7 prospective participants will be selected into 2 selected people who can take part in the internship program at FossStudio.
After an in-depth interview, it turned out that the profile of the prospective participants was beyond the expectations of the Foss Studio team. The majority of the candidates already had sufficient IT basics, coupled with other qualified abilities such as content creators, programming, etc. The team thought that if these participants get more extensive training and experience, it is hoped that it will further stabilize the prospective participants in facing the world of work after graduating from college.
Finally, with some considerations made, the FossStudio team decided to accept these 7 candidates to be able to take part in the internship program at FossStudio. This number is beyond FossStudio’s initial plan where previously FossStudio only targeted 2 selected participants. Here is the list of selected candidates who will take part in the internship program at Foss Studio:

Mega Anggraini – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta.
Wafi Ariqo – Padjadjaran University, Sumedang.

Hopefully this internship program can be useful to improve the ability of the participants in the field of system librarian, as well as to add insight and prepare themselves to face the world of library work after graduating from college.
